Downtown
Market Now Open
The Downtown Market, located at 11th and
Milwaukee Avenues in the heart of South Milwaukee’s city
center, returns after a successful debut in 2009 with some
upgrades courtesy of a number of area residents and
organizations. The
Market will again be held on Thursday afternoon and evenings through
October 14, rain or shine, and will be open from 3 to
7:30p.m. in June, July and August, and from 3 to 7p.m. in
September and October.

Scott Walker to speak
The Chopin at Wilson Commons will have guest speaker Scott
Walker, candidate for Governor for the State of Wisconsin
speak on Monday, August 2nd at The Chopin Community Room, 1400
W. Sonata Drive in Milwaukee. Music from 2-2:30pm will
be provided by Michael Dombrowski and his accordion, with the
guest speaker from 2:30-3:30pm.
